Make a Change!

What do you do when your world crumbles? When everything you’ve believed and felt turns out to be a lie? Where do you turn? How do you keep breathing? How do you put one foot in front of the other ?

It’s a painful and life altering situation to find yourself in. How do you handle such an offense on your spirit and emotions?

I’ve been there. I’ve been face down on the floor wishing I could crawl into a dark hole somewhere. Wondering why someone would do such a thing to me. The fact is, it’s something we must all face in this life. It’s nasty. It’s cruel. But it’s life.

There is a choice to be made in this moment.  A choice to get up and live our best life regardless of the pain … through the pain. A choice to change our circumstances. A choice to get up and make something different of ourselves or our lives.

There comes a point when we have to stop allowing someone else to control the path our lives are on. We have to stop allowing someone else to control our emotions, our future, our present. No matter how much it hurts.

There’s power in a choice. A redemptive power, in fact.

One day … one step … one breath at a time. Moving forward and moving on can be the most painful and most empowering choice you ever make. Believe in YOU. Before anyone else will ever believe in you, you must believe in you.

Get up … make a list of goals. Short term and long term. Start an “I will…” notebook. Picture yourself in the life you want. Make a “business plan” to achieve these goals and move towards them. Your thoughts, emotions and words take life in your choices. Only you can change this path!

Change it!!
